Well, one of the recent add-on to Android security is the FRP-Factory Reset Protection feature which is being utilized by several device manufacturers like Huawei, Sony, Itel, Infinix, Gionee, Samsung, Motorola, HTC, Alcatel, LG and other OEMs.
Factory reset protection kicks off when you factory reset an Android phone(FRP enabled) that has a Gmail account linked to it. The user must input the Google account details that had been recentlysynchronized on the device. This is a feature to secure Android Lollipop devices from thieves like Apple iCloud.
